December: Tis the Season of Giving and Dark Beers
December is always a fun month. However it goes way too fast. How do you decide which sweater party or holiday party to go to, which charity to give to, and when to put up all of those lights!? Well we do know that LandLocked Ales is definitely a place to be the month of December.
GALA IN THE PINES
First, we had our very first annual Gala in the Pines! This event was inspiration from an organization back home in Ohio called, Symphony of Trees. They do a lot more than a gala and it is always an awesome time with family and friends. We loved it so much that we wanted to bring a piece here to Colorado. The Gala this year benefited Gateway Domestic Violence Services. This is a remarkable group of people who provide shelter, protection, necessities, and other awesome services to those needing help from domestic violence. It is something that has affected more people than we know and it needs to be known that there are services out there to help those people in need. During the event we had the Farmer in the Hive Food Truck serving some tasty dishes and a steak special while DoWitt Entertainment played some nice music in the background, we released the two new beers: Cinna-Grinch and Coffee House Stout and gathered with friends. Let’s not forget the silent auction that will be going on! Local business have donated decorated Christmas Trees for bidding as well as a gift basket from Bristelcone. Silent auction is available until the end of the day Friday, December 7th.
UGLY SWEATERS!
Following the gala we have an ugly sweater brew run and holiday party on December 8th! This event will be benefiting Drink for Pink.
The day will begin with an ugly sweater fun run! There are different packets that you can choose when registering for the event. Whether you plan to run or would like to participate in the sweater contest there is an option for you! High Society Pizza will be serving pizzas all day long beginning at 12pm. We will have two contests throughout the day with one starting at 1pm.
The party continues! Join us for the official ugly sweater party complete with more pizza and Star Six Nine Band jamming out karaoke style at 6pm. Come with your favorite requests! Our second ugly sweater contest will be at 7pm.
We can’t wait to see how festive everyone gets and to hear all of those jingle bells that are probably loosely hanging on by a thread!

We also have gift tags available to choose a child to sponsor for Christmas through the Salvation Army. Help us to give a special child something more for Christmas. Presents must be delivered back to the taproom by December 10th! Receive a free pint upon delivery of your gift.
