Another Year of Slinging Beers
Let’s recap shall we? We held our four year anniversary party June 26 and 27. We had live music, a glass give-away, on-site custom shirt printing by Tongue Tied Design, a raffle for the awesome custom designed paddle board (Thanks Bret Jensen for the design!), and new barrel aged beer releases each day! Whoa! We also held a corn-hole tournament on Saturday with double elimination and a cash prize for first and second place.
Music
The live music rocked! We had Andy Sydow who is just a straight up talented musician. He was on keyboard and played a little harmonica with it. It was the debut of new local band, Of a Certain Age. You wouldn’t know if was their first performance as their new band. They were awesome! The One and Only Jon Ham ended the live music with his different instruments and overall amazing talent.
Paddle Board Raffle
Congratulations to Zach Bales who won the custom LLA paddle board! We can’t wait to follow you on social and see the adventures you two go on.
Beer Releases
For beer releases, we tapped our cucumber sour, Pickled’n Peeled. Followed by our pineapple upside-down cake sour and a new apricot blend of our West Gaze Haze. Barrel aged beers made a debut! The barrel aged Imperial Stout - You Guys Made Me Ink, clocks in at 11.5% ABV. It was aged in an 8 year Woodford Reserve bourbon barrel over the last year. The barrel aged Doppelbock - Incriminator, comes in at a smooth 8.1%. It rested in a 9 year Dickel Tennessee whiskey barrel.
Glassware
This year’s design featured our beautiful Colorado mountains along with a little paddle boarder. Paddle boarding was such an increasingly popular sport in 2020 and this design comes full circle with our raffle this year. Colorado might be land locked but we sure do have some beautiful lakes! We gave away a free glass to the first 25 people in the door with their first pint both Saturday and Sunday!
T-Shirts
Tongue Tied Design did it again. We had four awesome designs and this year we had a ton of shirt options to choose from between tank tops, t-shirts, long sleeve shirts and sweatshirts. The designs featured Squirrel Stash, a compass that incorporated design from the paddle board, You Guys Made Me Ink (always a favorite), and our anniversary design.
Food trucks
On Saturday, Farmer in the Hive brought their boutique style food truck to the taproom. You can trust that you will be getting amazing food with great quality from Farmer in the Hive. On Sunday, Uncle J’s brings Chicago style cuisine to life here in Colorado, and we all know half of us here in Colorado are from the Midwest. Check them both out as they are on our Sunday rotating food truck schedule. Sunday we also had D’vine wine ice cream! Their ice cream was amazing! Delicious combinations of flavors and wine/beer.
Missed the party? We still have our custom anniversary glassware available for purchase. We bought extra this time. It makes a great unique gift with this limited glassware design. Also, check out our barrel aged beer weekend for one last tap of this year’s barrel aged beer releases here.
